RealView’s miniature imaging capsule is a minimally invasive endoscopic device for long-term monitoring of TCC patients.
The capsule comprises an image sensor, transmitting device, orientation actuator, and inflation “shell”.
The capsule will facilitate on-demand monitoring of the interior bladder wall.
 |
Inserted into the bladder during a transurethral resection, the capsule may remain in place up to two years, a critical time period for TCC patients. During follow-ups, a navigating system is placed around the patient. The capsule transmits high-quality images to an external recording device for viewing, processing and storing for future comparison purposes. Monitoring the bladder with the capsule is non-invasive and painless. There is no need for the operating room nor anesthesia.
|
The physician can guide and navigate the capsule’s position for accurate visualization of the bladder’s interior. RealView’s proprietary image processing algorithms “stitch” the images together for a 360° view.
The capsule is extracted from the bladder during a standard cystoscopic procedure.
RealView has a patent pending in the U.S and in Europe covering its core technology. The Company will strive to further capitalize on the uniqueness of its novel approach by filing additional patents.
Advantages
The RealView miniature imaging capsule is a superior and cost-effective solution for early detection of recurrent TCC.
